Question: How Often Should a Sewer Line Be Cleaned?
Top Answer (44% of 9 votes): Every year.

Answer: Every 2-3 years
Explanation: There is no magical number here but a few things to look out for. Is your system draining slow? Do you put large amounts of grease down the drain? Do you have an older home with cast iron piping? Do you have large trees around your house? There are 50 year old plumbing systems that have never stopped up. Take care of your sewer lines and only put approved items down the drain. Remember your sewer is not a trash can.
